Cheese straws/shapes

Ingredients:-

  • 200 g   Self Raising flour
  • pinch   salt
  • pinch   mustard powder
  • 100 g   Margarine
  • 150 g   Mature (red) Cheddar, grated
  • 1 medium egg, beaten

Method:-

  • Heat oven to 180°C.
  • Mix together the flour, salt and mustard.
  • Rub in the margarine.
  • Stir in the cheese and add sufficient egg to make stiff dough.
  • Roll out thinly and cut into strips/shapes, or flatten & shape with hands.
  • Place onto a lined baking tray,
  • Bake for 10-15 mins.
