Mince Pies


  • 200g plain flour
  • 100g butter/margarine
  • 50g caster sugar
  • Cold water to form stiff dough
  • 1 jar mincemeat
  • Milk to glaze
  • Icing sugar to dust


  1. Heat oven to 180°C
  2. Place flour and sugar in bowl, mix
  3. Rub in butter/marg, add sufficient cold water to make stiff dough
  4. Roll out onto floured surface, cut into rounds – place in bottom of greased tin
  5. Cut small star to place on top
  6. Place 1 tsp of mincemeat in each round, place star on top, brush with milk
  7. Bake for 15 mins approx
  8. Remove from tin before cold, dust with icing sugar
